Wondering what to have for Christmas day breakfast? No need to worry, I’ve sorted it for you 😇
🎄Vic’s Festive Savoury Porridge Breads 🎄
Serves 6 (large) 💜 ZERO 💙 6 💚 8
The same method as my savoury breads, made in just one bowl. Couldn’t be easier! It’s basically my recipe made into many servings.
You can prepare them Christmas eve, simply place in the moulds and refrigerate overnight. Bake them in the morning and serve warm with a smidge of butter, poached eggs, smoked salmon or salsa, I’ve been enjoying them this week 😋
What you need.
🔸️400g 2 cups of rolled oats ( I used @harrawaysnz rolled oats today * )
🔸300g 99% fat free Greek yoghurt @cyclops_yoghurt
🔸️2 tsp baking powder.
🔸️1 medium egg or 🔶️ substitute is, 1 tbsp of ground flaxseed soaked in 3 tbsp of warm water for 10 minutes. Amend the accordingly.
🔸️3 tbsp of fresh rosemary roughly chopped. Or dried herbs of choice.
🔸️Pickled onions. I used these festive green and red ones @springgullygeneralstore I found them in the clearance shop 😉 29g is 1 smart point which is 8 onions. Amend accordingly.
🔸️½ onion powder.
🔸️½ mustard powder.
🔸️Seasoning to taste, ¼ tsp of lemon pepper and garlic salt, as always.
What to do.
Preheat your oven to 180°. Combine all the ingredients together except the onions and combine well. Place in silicone moulds (I used my triangle pan from @amazon again) top with pickled onions. Bake for 25 minutes or when a skewer comes out clean.
