Who likes easy, slow cooker (‘magic pot’) recipes? Me! I do 🙋🏼‍♀️. I recently learnt that my American friends call this a ‘dump recipe’. Makes sense. This was so GODD! And a couple saved for the freezer, winning! 
♡Vic’s Orange Sweet ‘n’ Sour Pork♡ 
 A cosy, healthy easy meal with an infusion of Chinese flavours.

What you need.
🔸️400g pork pieces. I used diced. 
🔸️2 medium, roughly chopped onions.
🔸️2 whole navel oranges cut in half and the peel from one.
🔸️1 tbsp of ketchup.
🔸️2 medium carrots, chopped.
🔸️½ cup soya sauce.
🔸️¼ cup red wine vinegar.
🔸️1 cup water.
🔸️2 tbsp substitute sugar* @naturally_sweet_australia
🔸️1 whole star anise or ½ tsp powdered. 
🔸️1 tsp pumpkin pie mix. Get my recipe here
🔸️1 heaped tbsp of crushed ginger and garlic. 
🔸️1 cup of fresh green beans chopped. 
🔸️½ cup of freshly chopped coriander.
🔸️1 whole fresh red chilli 🌶 I used dried.
🔸️Seasoning to taste. 
🔶️Amend the spices to suit yourself. 
What to do.
Preheat your slow cooker to high or low. Place everything in the pot, except beans and coriander, give it a stir and place on the lid. Leave and let all the flavours infuse. Cook on low 8 hours or high 4 hours.
15 minutes before serving, add the remaining ingredients. At this stage you can thicken with cornflour,  I choose not to.
